Who we are

What we collect

Only what you type into our forms, and how the site is used:

• When you request an order: your name, email address and phone number; your business name if you add one; your delivery address (street, suburb, state and postcode); whether a forklift is available to unload; your preferred delivery date if you give one; your notes for the order team; and, if you claim the Price Beat Guarantee, the competitor link or note you send. We also keep the products, quantities and prices of the order.
• When you ask an electrician (including from the message prompt): your name, email address, phone number and suburb or state if you add them, what you want help with, your message, and the products you had selected.
• When you ask us to design a system: your postcode, state, power supply, existing solar, quarterly bill range, best time to call, what you want the system to do, your message, your name, email address, phone number and suburb, and whether you agree to us passing your details to an installer.
• When you ask for installation: your postcode, state, where you are up to, when you want it installed, your system details and message, your name, phone number, email address and suburb, and your consent to us passing your details to an installer.
• To stop repeat submissions, an order request is stored with a one-way hash of your IP address, not the address itself.
• How the site is used, through Google Analytics: pages viewed, products viewed and added to the cart, checkout steps, the device and browser, and roughly where visits come from. We never send your name, email address, phone number, address or messages to Google Analytics.
• In your browser only: your cart and Designer selection are saved in your browser so they survive a reload. They reach us only when you request an order or send an enquiry.

Why we use it

• To confirm stock and email you a secure payment link.
• To deliver your order.
• To answer your questions and give technical advice.
• To design a system when you ask us to.
• To handle warranty claims and returns.
• To pass your details to an installer, only if you agree.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it.

Who sees it

• Delivery carriers, to deliver your order.
• The provider that runs our payment links, to take your payment.
• A licensed installer, only if you agree.
• The services that run this store for us: Supabase (our database, Sydney region), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (our email) and Google (Google Analytics and Google Search Console).

Some of these providers may process or store information outside Australia.

We don’t sell your personal information. We don’t send you marketing emails unless you ask for them.

Google Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to see how the site is used. It sets cookies in your browser to tell visits apart. Advertising features and Google signals are turned off.

To opt out, install Google’s Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block cookies in your browser settings.

Seeing and correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it: email office@everestenergy.com.au.

Complaints

If you have a privacy complaint, contact us first: call 1300 DEYE AU (1300 339 328) or email office@everestenergy.com.au. If you aren’t happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
